Vitor Belfort ‘Banned’ From Holyfield Fight?

Evander Holyfield has been slated to battle Vitor Belfort on September 11 as per the reports of TMZ sports. But Boxingscene.com reported that their sources have informed that under no circumstances will Holyfield-Belfort be approved, whether as a sanctioned fight or exhibition. Show would have to relocate to another state (or country) for the fight to take place.

The reports come after it was found that Oscar De La Hoya has tested positive for COVID-19 and is out of his comeback fight with Vitor Belfort. According to a lawsuit Evander Holyfield recently had with Triller, he’ll be paid $5 million for the fight. If the commission does not sanction the match, it is being reported that the event will still be held but it’ll be moved to Florida.
