Rey Mysterio, the legendary wrestler, will be inducted into the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame and is set to have his longtime friend, Konnan, induct him into the prestigious group. Although the announcement is not yet official, it has been reported by Dave Meltzer and is widely accepted as accurate. Rey Mysterio first gained fame in WCW before joining WWE in 2002, where he quickly became a star of the cruiserweight division and won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship multiple times.
Konnan will be inducting Rey into the Hall of Fame. Rey asked for him and the company approved it. As noted last night, to me it was the only choice.
His most memorable moments in WWE include his feud with Eddie Guerrero in 2005 and his World Heavyweight Championship win at WrestleMania 22. The induction ceremony will take place after the go-home SmackDown before WrestleMania, and more names are expected to be announced soon. Rey Mysterio’s induction is sure to be a major highlight of the event.
