Former WCW star Marcus “Buff” Bagwell recently addressed his recent arrest in a YouTube video, disputing claims of a DUI and clarifying that he is on day 446 of sobriety. Bagwell acknowledged the challenges of dealing with emotions without the use of substances, revealing that maintaining sobriety has led to struggles with his temper.
He explained that being clean forced him to confront his emotions without the crutch of substances, leading to a loss of control over his temper. Bagwell admitted to a couple of setbacks during a DUI program due to his temper issues. He recounted an incident at the Dallas airport where he failed to log his location, and his temper got him into trouble. This incident incorrectly led to reports of a relapse when, in reality, it was a DUI court sanction.
Bagwell emphasized that he is not facing a relapse but rather dealing with the challenges of managing his temper for the first time in his life. Despite the potential consequences for his temper-related actions, he reiterated that he remains clean and sober.
Expressing gratitude, Bagwell thanked Diamond Dallas Page, Steve Yu, and the DDP Yoga team for their support in helping him overcome a 20-year addiction, get clean, and return to the gym. While he acknowledged the difficulties, Bagwell remains committed to his sobriety journey and maintaining a healthier lifestyle.

Bagwell said “I may be going to jail for my temper” but he did not relapse and he is still clean and sober. He thanked Diamond Dallas Page, Steve Yu, and the team at DDP Yoga for helping him get clean and back in the gym after dealing with a 20-year addiction.
