WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett has reportedly been offered a huge role in the company and he is set to take it. It has been noted that Jarrett will return to the company in the new role.
Jeff Jarrett to take an executive role
According to PW Insider, Double J is set to take on a new gig with WWE on the executive level. He will be in a significant role in the company with this new job.
Jarrett will be working on the live events side of WWE’s business in a high level executive position. One source described it as Jarrett “taking over live events.” We are told Jarrett will officially begin his duties next week.
It was noted previously that Jeff Jarrett made his return to the comeback in January 2019 as a producer. He later made a shift into the company’s creative team in March of that same year. At that time he was able to transition himself into playing a big role during live events.
He has spent his time in IMPACT Wrestling(formerly TNA), the promotion which previously had stars like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. Double J in a recent interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Jeff Jarrett shared his thoughts on stars like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe and how much of a hand they have had in changing the landscape of wrestling.
“I was in the position and I’m very thankful I was to give ‘phenomenal talent,’ pardon the pun, like AJ Styles, like Bobby Roode, like Samoa Joe…we could go on and on down that list of guys an opportunity to shine. But at the end of the day, Riju, they are the ones that picked up the ball and ran and scored and worked hard and busted their a** and made a name for themselves. I was very blessed to be in the spot that I was.”
