Baron Corbin was officially removed from his position as acting General Manager of RAW due to Vince McMahon’s announcement of the New Era. However, it is unknown what WWE will plan next for Corbin.
Todd Martin joined PW Torch‘s mailbag, where he was asked what might be next for Baron Corbin. Corbin has a look that suits WWE’s mold and so it is unlikely that WWE is done with him.
“I don’t think Baron Corbin is done. I think they still see something in him. He’s going to continue to get a push I mean he’s got some heat from the crowd. He’s not somebody that I have any real big belief in, but I don’t think he’s done by any means.”
Wade Keller also noted that WWE has a history of General Managers and Corbin is simply too tall to become irrelevant. Usually once their runs as General Managers are done with, WWE removes them from power and figures something else out for them.
While it might take a while for WWE to come up with something for Baron Corbin, and it might not be as good a role as RAW General Manager, he is definitely not going to flounder around in WWE.
