The WWE has received some intense backlash thanks to their partnership with Saudi Arabia. Recently, after the death of Jamal Khashoggi, the company was pressured into pulling out of their deal and the WWE Crown Jewel show.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon made the final decision to continue with the company’s plans for the November 2nd event. Reportedly, the company didn’t make the announcement until McMahon’s ruling on October 24th.
The Observer went on to speculate that McMahon planned on keeping the event in Saudi Arabia, even if it couldn’t be held this week, and if they were forced to stay out due to the US government, that he’d promise to bring the show over to the kingdom once the dust had settled.
