Xavier Woods was wrestling at an Australian house show, where he suffered an injury. Shooting off the ropes caused a tear in his Achilles tendon. It was an unfortunate injury and could have happened to any person. He had surgery for the tear and is now busy healing.
Woods is currently on the shelf and is busy with his Up Up Down Down YouTube channel. He has a lot of time to recuperate. According to a report by PW Insider, the company expects Woods to return to the ring in Summer 2020 at the earliest.
Internally, Xavier Woods is not expected back until the summer of 2020 at the earliest from his Achilles’ heel injury.
It will certainly be a long time until we see Xavier Woods return to the New Day. The landscape of WWE might change entirely by that point.
