Nigel McGuinness was a highlight of independent wrestling throughout the 2000s. His run in Ring of Honor from 2003-2009 brought us some incredible feuds between himself and the likes of Samoa Joe, Daniel Bryan, Chris Hero, and Claudio Castagnoli, just to name a few.
McGuinness was one of the greatest technical wrestlers to have never made it to the WWE as an in-ring competitor. However, he’s since joined the company as a commentator for both NXT, NXT UK, and 205 Live, and is making his own mark in that regard.
The WWE announced recently that a Network Documentary titled “Chasing the Magic: The Nigel McGuinness Story” would air on Saturday, January 12th.

Between support from his colleagues and his fans, it was enough to send McGuinness to Twitter, where he thanked everyone for their praise.
So touched by the kind comments by fans and friends alike. Honored to have @WWE tell my story and be part of the 1st ever #NXTUKTakeOver

Again. Humbled and stunned by all the kind words about my career. Best thing about it. Thank you.
