Wrongful termination lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon

WWE recently released several WWE Superstars and members of staff, amounting to over one hundred employees being fired. The week before this the XFL was shut down permanently. It seems Vince McMahon has a lawsuit on its hands.

According to a report by The Atlantic, former XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck is suing Vince McMahon for wrongful termination. Luck was hired by McMahon in 2018, promising him $20-$25 million within the new few years. That did not end up happening as XFL had a premature shutdown in 2020 due to COVID-19.

Luck’s contract apparently stated that he would be paid the entire amount if he was terminated without cause. So he is out to get what he is due.

We will keep you updated on this ongoing story as we get to know more.
