WWE To Do 2 PPV Events Per Month Starting In September

Jerry “The King” Lawler mentioned the upcoming brand split at the Annual Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Illinois over the weekend. Lawler noted that the plan is to do two pay-per-view events per month.

Dave Meltzer confirmed on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer radio that there will be two PPV events every month, one each from Raw and Smackdown, starting in September.

  • Oh yes, again!!

  • Kristopher Robinson

They would most likely do 2 separate of each of those or do one, with each brand being on them, especially RR and WM. No way they could do 2 of those.

  • CC

I cant see this being every month as no way will one brand be forced to miss out on the big four, WM, The Rumble, Survivor series and Summer slam.

  • JC Bolden

Well at least now we don’t have to pay for them all

  • VRA

This is actually a great idea, I’m all for it!

  • Arnold Jackson

They couldn’t do 12 good PPVs a year so now let’s do 24? Not sure this is best for the product but it will drive up Network buys.

  • Chad Boswell

    Oh no, not again…

This is going to give everyone on the “creative” team a heart attack.
