WWE & AEW Major Shows ‘In Jeopardy’

There is a lot to be excited about if you are a fan of All Elite Wrestling. The alleged signings of both CM Punk and the former Daniel Bryan have had the internet wrestling community ablaze for some time now. However, Bodyslam.net, the outlet that reported those alleged signings is now reporting a concerning development in the world of AEW.

This top WWE name was offered a huge AEW match. According to Cassidy Haynes, AEW is growing extremely concerned about the recent spike of COVID-19 cases. With many states, cities and towns across the United States issuing new mandates and protocols, the outlet is stating that there apparent internal discussions on what AEW will do going forward if there is another shutdown or if COVID-19 disturbs their newly re-launched touring plans in any way.

Bodyslam.net states that an anonymous source told them regarding the situation that it is currently ‘all hands on deck’. However, it is ‘ultimately up to Tony [Khan]’ in regards to a decision on what to do moving forward. It should be noted that the outlet specifically cites a potential prolonged return to Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida should it be called for.

In regard to the status of All Elite Wrestling’s current crop of shows in major cities such as New York and Chicago – AEW is as of now continuing their current and existing plans. However, they are monitoring the situation carefully as the COVID -19 pandemic is extremely fluid. This would affect WWE as well, who are touring the United States and have a Madison Square Garden show booked for New York in September.
