We noted before how Chris Jericho was reported to be returning to WWE for an appearance at the Greatest Royal Rumble event and the company has now confirmed it.
WWE revealed a few more names for their 50 Men Greatest Royal Rumble in a recent post on their official website and the most notable one of them was none other than the former World Champion:
“Fifteen WWE Superstars, including Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, 2016 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner Baron Corbin, four-time Tag Team Champions The New Day, and three-time World Heavyweight Champion and 9-time Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho, have officially entered the first-ever 50-Man Greatest Royal Rumble Match”
Apart from this Battle Royal, Triple H vs. John Cena, a steel cage rematch between Universal Champ Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, a match for the vacant Raw Tag Championship and an Intercontinental Title ladder match featuring Seth Rollins, The Miz, Samoa Joe and Finn Bálor have also been announced for the show.
While not confirmed, it’s likely that Jericho’s appearance on the show will be based on a One Off deal and the 9 time Intercontinental Champion wouldn’t stick around for long after that.
