WWE always tries to acquire as many talents as possible from every promotion. The company certainly spends a lot of money on signing performers to contracts.
According to a report by PW Insider, MLW’s attorneys are “engaged” with WWE’s attorneys regarding accusations of tampering with contracts. It was said that this might have nothing to do with Davey Boy Smith Jr making an appearance on a recent episode of The Bump. Apparently, the company is tampering with the contracts of a few talents.
When asked if this was in relation to Davey Boy Smith Jr (Harry Smith) appearing this past Wednesday on WWE’s The Bump online series, we were told it was not in regard to Smith’s appearance but regarding “multiple talents.”
MLW contracts explicitly mention that those who are signed to the company cannot work for WWE. They also claim they have enough evidence to prove WWE’s contract tampering.
One MLW source claimed that the promotion has an “abundance” of evidence should the matter need to go to court, but hoped that would not happen.
