WWE Hall of Famer Kane (real name Glenn Jacobs) has been one of the greatest stars to ever step foot inside the squared circle. He has numerous achievements in his illustrious career. His stints with WWE got him huge success having legendary feuds to multiple championship wins. The WWE platform eventually led to him becoming the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. Now, it seems he has decided to call it a day.
Kane seemingly confirms in-ring retirement
‘The Big Red Machine’ is unlikely to return to the squared circle as he is focussing on his political career. He has made fewer appearances on WWE television in recent years with his last match taking place at the 2021 Royal Rumble event. His last proper match was in Saudi Arabia at the 2018 Crown Jewel event, where he teamed with Undertaker against Shawn Michaels and Triple H.
While appearing on The Right View with Lara Trump, Kane stated that as a 55-year-old, he is okay with not taking a bump again, indicating that he’s done as an active in-ring performer.
“Yeah, I actually don’t do that much anymore,” he said. “I don’t want to get into a wrestling ring and actually get knocked down because I don’t know if I could get back up at this point. But yes, I still do things occasionally.”
Kane brought up his SummerSlam appearance, where he announced the attendance for the show in Nashville at Nissan Stadium. He was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame last year and speaking about his political endeavours, he recently secured his second term as mayor.
