WWE Attitude Era Legends Spotted At Royal Rumble

Kurt Angle and Shane McMahon have been spotted in St. Louis for the WWE Royal Rumble. WWE star Seth Rollins is currently the number one contender to the WWE Universal Championship currently held by Roman Reigns. They are set to collide at tonight’s WWE Royal Rumble premium live event. It turns out that was not supposed to happen until WWE changed their plans.

Seth Rollins was reportedly planned to win WWE Championship

WWE made some alterations to their plans when Roman Reigns tested positive for COVID-19 before the Day 1 event in Atlanta. Brock Lesnar was put into a planned four-way and he ended up winning Big E’s WWE Championship. It turns out that the original plan for the match and the subsequent build to WrestleMania was majorly changed.

Rollins was supposed to win the four-way match which saw Big E, Kevin Owens, and Bobby Lashley to be his opponents. At the last minute, Lesnar was placed into the match. ‘The Beast Incarnate’ was booked to win the title at the event and it forced WWE to change the original plan. Dave Meltzer revealed the original WrestleMania idea on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio.

“The four-way was originally Seth going over, yeah. I was under the impression it was Seth against either Big E or Bobby Lashley [for WrestleMania].”

We will have to see whom Big E or Bobby Lashley will face at WrestleMania. With WWE Royal Rumble taking place tonight, many changes in the plans are expected. Big E will compete in the men’s Royal Rumble match to try and earn his way back into the Mania main event. Lashley has a highly anticipated WWE Championship match against Brock Lesnar and we will see who comes out on top in the match.

Seth Rollins will be taking on Roman Reigns for his WWE Universal Championship with both Jimmy and Jey Uso barred from ringside for this particular contest.
