WWE Attitude Era Match Returning At WrestleMania?

WWE had an idea to recreate a Battle Royal that would lead to a tag team being formed at WrestleMania, like at WrestleMania 15 in 1999 where Test and D’Lo Brown formed a team to take on Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett. A WrestleMania Match May Have Been ‘Spoiled’ By Drew McIntyre.

Wrestlevotes tweeted, “Original idea prior to the Women’s Tag Team Turmoil match being decided on was to have the annual Women’s Battle Royal where the final 2 would be ‘winners’ & form a tag team the next night. Much like the WM 15 Battle Royal that Test & D’Lo won, then lost later to Owen & Jarrett.”

Cesaro will have his biggest WrestleMania match to date against Seth Rollins this weekend.

He said on the Oral Sessions podcast, “There are so many people that I feel support me and want me to do well. This is my first WrestleMania where I have a singles match, so of course, the pressure is on. I want to make everybody proud, and I want to show everybody that I deserve this. I want to show everybody that what they believe in can happen and what they believe in is happening [and] that I’m worthy of their support. So, there’s a lot of pressure.”

“This is my first singles match, and it’s against Seth Rollins, who has arguably one of the best runs in WrestleMania in recent history. So, that’s another hurdle to overcome. It’s a great and tremendous chance for me to prove my worth.”
