WWE Attitude Era Star Struggles In Hospital Photo

Professional wrestling can be a brutal business, especially for those who participated in it years ago when dangerous moves were more common. Unfortunately, it has left many wrestlers in poor health, and at only 51 years old, former wrestler Stevie Richards is feeling the effects.

On Instagram, Richards posted a photo of himself in a hospital gown with a walker, revealing that he has been dealing with numerous health issues over the past four weeks. While he did not go into detail about the cause of his issues, PWInsider reported that the former ECW, WCW, and WWE star has been dealing with back and spine issues that have worsened in recent weeks, requiring hospitalization and the use of a walker.

Richards famously injured his neck while working for ECW in 1997, which required surgery and has continued to negatively affect him over the years. While it’s unclear if his current health issues are related to the injury, he has promised to document his road to recovery on his YouTube channel and requested that fans subscribe for updates.
