It looks like FS1 has made a difficult choice regarding WWE Backstage. According to John Ourand of Sports Business Journal, FS1 has opted to scale back production regarding programming based around wrestling and boxing.
Per the report, WWE Backstage will no longer be produced weekly. However, it’s a better fate than Inside PBC (Premier Boxing Champions) which has been eliminated completely.
FS1 is scaling back production on its boxing and WWE shoulder programming. "WWE Backstage will not longer be produced weekly. It is eliminating "Inside PBC." Double digit job losses as a result. SBJ Media will have the full story tonight.

Ourand stated that the number of jobs lost is up to the double digits.
It seems that Ryan Satin was among those to lose their job. His response below.
Thanks to everyone at @FS1 for the opportunity to work on #WWEBackstage! I had a blast working with @ReneeYoungWWE, @BookerT5x, @RealPaigeWWE, @jacobu, @grossman, @bradweimer and every single person I came into contact with on the show. I learned a lot working with you all. https://t.co/iLnYF0jGyj

Backstage was responsible for breaking several stories and getting some exciting interviews out of its guests. The return of CM Punk was also a huge moment for the show. However, it seems that it wasn’t enough to keep the show going on a regular basis.
We’ll keep you updated on further updates regarding WWE Backstage going forward.
