The Royal Rumble featured Jackass star Johnny Knoxville as one of the participants in the Men’s match as he carried on his ongoing feud with Sami Zayn. Knoxville announced his entry into the match a few weeks before. This was done to promote the latest movie in the Jackass series. Ric Flair also recently attacked Johnny Knoxville for a sad reason.
He entered the Rumble at #9 and lasted just over a minute before Sami Zayn threw him out. Johnny Knoxville and the crew from Jackass: Forever had a good time in the match as well. Steve-O is one of Jackass’ more controversial stars but it seems he also decided to be very responsible a swell.
In a recent vlog, Steve-O explained why he was not present at the Royal Rumble match. The Jackass star revealed that he tested positive for the virus. Due to this, he was stuck in Saint Louis and had to miss the film’s premiere.
“Now, keep in mind, we’ve been getting tested for [the virus] every single day, no matter what we’re doing, and we’re always negative until I show up at the Royal Rumble and they say I was positive. So now I gotta leave the Royal Rumble immediately and I’m stuck in St. Louis.
I can’t go to the airport. I can’t get on an airplane. So what do I do? I get my tour bus driver to come to pick me up. We’re parked in a parking lot in Missouri. Turns out getting the bus wrapped with my face all over it drew some attention. So we drove all the way home to LA where the premiere is happening without me.”
Sami Zayn continued his feud with Johnny Knoxville at the premiere of the film and fans wonder whether this will carry over to a match at WrestleMania 38 between the two or not. Chances are, that is exactly what the company will do.
