WWE ‘Banned’ Jon Moxley From New Release

The former WWE broadcast member Renee Paquette, who is the wife of AEW star Jon Moxley(Dean Ambrose in WWE)  recently released her new cookbook “Messy In The Kitchen: My Guide to Eating Deliciously, Hosting Fabulously and Sipping Copiously.”

She had previously revealed that her idea of releasing a cookbook came up during her stint in WWE and she had continued with the work when she parted ways with the company following SummerSlam pay-per-view in 2020. WWE Fired Tom Phillips For Sad Reason

Renee Paquette had a battle with WWE over the release of the book?

Paquette recently made an appearance on Kinda Funny and discussed getting WWE approval for the project. She said:

“When I was at WWE, I had to get it approved. We have to get any outside project approved. I had to make sure WWE was okay with me putting a cookbook out. It was initially coming out under Renee Young, which was fine. As I was leaving, I was like, ‘Now I get to release the book as Renee Paquette.’ There is a bit of stress like ‘Uhhh, are people going to…’ people get it, it’s not that confusing but switching that branding can be a little scary,” she said.

She revealed that working in WWE, she faced an obstacle with the release of the book. She said that she couldn’t mention her husband Jon Moxley by name as he worked for AEW. Renee Paquette said:

“The other thing that I did have to switch was, when I was writing the book, I could not mention my husband by name. I had to say ‘my husband.’ I couldn’t say ‘Jon’ or ‘Jon Moxley’ or use any wrestlers outside of WWE, which of course, means my husband. I had to change his name throughout to say ‘my husband.’ I couldn’t have pictures of him in the book either. I left WWE and took pictures with Jon so he could be in the book as well. It’s weird to be like, ‘I’m cooking at home and here I am, a bachelorette.’ You can’t ignore the fact that people know that we’re married. It was definitely a hindrance and a hurdle that I was willing to work around. Then it was like, ‘Actually, I’m not gonna work here anymore and now I make adjustments,'” she stated.

She was questioned if WWE tried to keep the rights to her book because she was leaving the company. She said it was her intellectual property and they approved it without any hassle. She replied:

“I didn’t have to fight them for the book because it was still my intellectual property, they just approved me doing it. I was nervous to tell the publisher because they’re like, ‘Cool, this person is from WWE.’ ‘Hey, by the way, I don’t do that anymore, can we still put this out?’ They were cool and supportive and everything worked out for the better. I feel the book is so much better being able to have those changes.”

It has been reported that Jon Moxley will also release his book in the month of November.
