WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg made his return to WWE in 2016 after a hiatus of more than a decade from the company. He would go on to defeat Brock Lesnar in a squash match at Survivor 2016 and then win the Universal Championship against Kevin Owens in 2017. He defended his title against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33 in one of the main events of the show. As stated by his contract, Vince McMahon can only have him compete in one more match this year, so it has to mean something. Goldberg also admitted to mocking Ric Flair for being too old to be in the ring in the past. He is also expected to appear on this year’s WWE SummerSlam. Goldberg also sent a bold message to a female WWE Superstar a couple of months ago.
Goldberg finally made his return to WWE television as he appeared on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW after Bobby Lashley successfully defended his WWE Championship against a returning Keith Lee. Afterwards, Goldberg appeared and challenged Bobby Lashley for a WWE Championship match by declaring that he is next.
Former WWE referee Marty Elias recently spoke to the Pancakes and Powerslams podcast, where he revealed he was banned and scored out during a WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view.
“And I want to say; it was 2009, maybe August SummerSlam, maybe 2010; I attended SummerSlam in LA with Jesse Hernandez, and I went, and Ty Bailey, who is a POS, had me escorted out. And talk about embarrassing, talk about wow! Why is this happening to me? What did I do? So I couldn’t figure that out, so through the years, I just kind of stopped asking, and I just went about my business and made music, and stuff, and then I got with Lucha Underground, and you know, we all know how that did,”
