The WWE 2023 Draft is currently ongoing, and fans are eagerly anticipating the second night of the draft on RAW. So far, the draft has surprised and entertained fans as WWE builds their rosters for the next year. This raises questions about how much involvement Vince McMahon had in the draft.
According to Ringside News, decisions to call up NXT superstars were made several weeks ago, and there were no major changes in the final week before the draft. The creative team believes that either the decisions were discussed with Vince a long time in advance or that there were no major changes from him.
Despite being the owner of the company, it seems that Vince McMahon kept his hands off the draft decisions. A source within the company confirmed to Ringside News that if Vince had made any changes, it had not been shared with the writing team. Ringside News also reported a couple of weeks ago that Vince McMahon had not changed anything about the 2023 Draft at that time.
However, it is important to note that WWE is still Vince McMahon’s company, and he could always make changes if he wanted to. Nevertheless, the 2023 WWE Draft had no bearing on Vince McMahon’s return to the company, or vice versa, according to Ringside News’ exclusive report.
