WWE Biggest Star Ever Returns In Saudi Arabia?

WWE star John Cena might be back soon. He had returned to the company last month to build on his feud with the WWE United States Champion Austin Theory. The two faced off in the opening match of Night One of WrestleMania 39, where the rising star controversially picked up a win.

Following the match, Cena had expressed his gratitude to the fans in attendance and waved to the crowd, which led many to believe that he could be done with pro wrestling. However, the chances of that happening are minimal at the moment.

John Cena is likely to be back soon

Xero News provided an update on the megastar’s potential next match. The news source reported that John Cena could be in action at the King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event, which will take place in Saudi Arabia next month.

“Rumour: Early Talks of Cena Wrestling at KOTR PPV. This is considered Card Subject to Change until he agrees but it has been discussed at WWE,” tweeted Xero News.

The event is scheduled for May 27 and will be the first dedicated King of the Ring event since 2015, which aired exclusively on the WWE Network. It will also be the first to be broadcast since the 2002 edition.

WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long has claimed that this has come at the expense of his enthusiasm for wrestling. Speaking on The Wrestling Time Machine with Bill Apter and host Mac Davis, Long said that he believes Cena’s heart is no longer in the squared circle:

“I’m just old school and I just always believe in doing business, and I just don’t think Cena did business. I don’t know this, but I feel that Cena is basically going to spend the rest of his career on Hollywood doing movies and stuff. I don’t know. I don’t want to say this, but I don’t think his heart is in wrestling like it used to be. He’s thinking ahead to the movies and stuff now.”

Long added that he supports Cena furthering his career but he suggested he could have delivered a better performance against Theory:

“If you want to go and do something else, nothing’s wrong with that. Further your career, do better, I’m for that all the way. But, don’t forget where you come from. Back in the day, a guy that was in the territory, if he was going to leave for a good bit, then he would always leave the guy that’s left in the territory strong. I think he could have had a way better match with the kid than he did because I’ve seen him work in the ring before.”
