Carlito made his shocking return at last year’s Royal Rumble event. He came back after over a decade away from WWE. Carlito also competed in a match on the next night’s episode of Monday Night RAW, where he teamed up with Jeff Hardy and faced off against Elias and Jaxson Ryker.
While speaking during a recent appearance on the K & S WrestleFest virtual signing, Carlito recalled WWE cancelling his plans to be on RAW Legends Night.
I was supposed to do the Legends Night a couple of weeks before that and then they canceled me and said, ‘No, we’d rather have you in the Rumble’ […] Yeah, it was great. What sucked was people [fans] not being there. People don’t even know if I exist now… So yeah, it would have been cool to be in front of a WWE crowd again but, other than that, it was pretty fun.
