WWE Canceled Planned Brock Lesnar Return

Brock Lesnar is undoubtedly one of the most dominant pro wrestlers to have ever competed inside the squared circle. He had two tremendous runs in WWE, both of which resulted in him winning major World Championships and being a huge draw for fans. Brock Lesnar has been absent from WWE television ever since he dropped the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36 last year. Brock Lesnar was also previously called out by a Superstar from Monday Night RAW.

Brock Lesnar made his return at WWE SummerSlam and then appeared on a previous episode of Friday Night Smackdown and confronted Roman Reigns for a WWE Universal Championship match, which he eventually accepted.

The two were set to square off against each other at WWE Crown Jewel for the WWE Universal Championship on October 21st in Saudi Arabia. At the event, Brock Lesnar ended up losing the match after interference from The Usos and Roman Reigns using the WWE Universal Championship to hit Lesnar in the head.

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company had a different plan altogether for Brock Lesnar’s return from his suspension.

Lesnar returns on 12/3 in San Antonio and is also booked on 12/10 for Smackdown in Los Angeles. Originally he was still going to be suspended and would do the deal where he bought a ticket to attend the Los Angeles show, but on the 11/26 Smackdown the show was built around Braxton ending the show announcing that Lesnar’s suspension was lifted while Pearce acted shocked that Reigns and company also were.
