WWE Canceled Top WrestleMania 38 Match

The WWE fans have certainly enjoyed the first night of WrestleMania 38 which was stacked with some huge matches. The first night saw the WWE RAW Women’s Championship change hands, the return of Cody Rhodes, and the WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin. It seems that the final match on the show caused the New Day vs. Sheamus and Ridge Holland to be pulled out.

WWE cancels the match due to a short time

It was done because they were running long and they wanted to be off the air by midnight. They weren’t going to risk tiring the crowd out and having to shave time off of the Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Kevin Owens match so it was safer to pull the tag match. No word on when the match will take place but there is room on the Kickoff show that airs at 6 pm eastern.

Kofi Kingston shared his take on his match being cut:

“To be in the business for an extended duration of time is to experience the highest of highs as well as lowest of lows. Yes, it hurts; but we take it and we use it to propel us forward.”

Steve Austin came out of retirement in his hometown of Texas and fought Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match. He fought his first match in 19 years and fans loved every second of it. ‘The Texas Rattlesnake’ was challenged by Owens on his KO Show and the WWE legend accepted his challenge. It was a surreal moment for the fans when the bell rang. In the final moments of the match, The match expectably built up to a few near falls in the ring before Steve Austin hit the final Stunner on Kevin Owens for a pinfall victory. This marks the final match of his career.
