For a while now WWE has cancelled house shows, but they would have a proper reason for doing so on every occasion. Summerslam will be taking place in a week’s time and WWE seems to have cancelled two house shows once again.
Smackdown house shows were cancelled in the past if they were on a Monday and WWE required the Smackdown Live superstars to appear on RAW. However, John Pollock reports at Post Wrestling, that WWE cancelled the house shows for the weekend without providing any good reason.
While it’s not uncommon for the company to pull the Monday night house show of late, I cannot remember the last time they scrapped the entire weekend of shows
We do wonder if WWE will give a proper reason for what they have done. We will keep you updated regarding this situation if we get to learn more.
