The former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey made a shocking return at the recently-concluded WWE Royal Rumble premium live event during the 30-Woman Royal Rumble match and eventually won it. She is set to get a title match of her choosing at WrestleMania 38. The match also saw some other major returns but Paige’s absence from the match shocked many. The fans expected her to return at the show.
Paige’s plans might have changed
The former Divas Champion did not return and Wrestling News reported that:
I was told by a source in WWE that she was cleared and she would be in the Rumble. That did not happen and I’m not sure why she was not on the show. I also was told by a reporter from another website that he heard the same thing about Paige being a surprise but he was told not to report on it.”
Paige certainly kept a tab on Royal Rumble and she noted that ‘The Baddest Woman On The Planet’ won the contest. She commented about the Rumble in the tweet below:

It was previously noted that WWE had some plans for Rousey. She came in at the No.28 spot in the Royal Rumble match, one of the spots which have seen several winners. The final two women in the ring were Rousey and WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. Flair led with a big kick, but Rousey caught her and shoved her up over the ropes and to the floor. This helped her in winning the Royal Rumble and earning a match at WrestleMania. Rousey is set to make an appearance on this week’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW.
