WWE Championship match not taking place inside Hell In A Cell?

As we noted previously, Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Randy Orton on SmackDown Live to earn another title shot against the WWE Champion Jinder Mahal at the upcoming Hell In A Cell PPV.

Shortly after the SmackDown episode, WWE posted a statement on their official website hyping the upcoming championship match between Mahal and Nakamura.

However, interestingly, the statement as seen here does not have any mention of their match taking place inside the well-known steel structure known as the Hell In A Cell.

This has started rumors that the championship rematch from SummerSlam between the two stars may not take place inside the cage at all.

If these speculations turn out to be true, the other option WWE has is to have the rumored match between Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon take place inside the cell instead.

This appears to be a good idea as the rivalry between Owens and the junior McMahon has quickly become very personal and it will be suitable to have this match take place inside the unforgiving steel structure.

Though there is still enough time between now and the Hell In A Cell PPV and it’s possible that the company may announce the cage stipulation for the Championship match as well.
