WWE Draft is right around the corner and last week on SmackDown, Triple H made his return to the blue brand and announced the return of the Draft. He stated that this year it will be bigger, and everyone will be eligible. He also said that it will “change the game.” This implies that the tag teams could be broken up during the Draft, as they’d be on different brands. With everyone to be eligible for the Draft, the WWE’s star could also be split on the programming.
Here we will have a look at the WWE star couples who could be split due to the WWE Draft:
#5 Montez Ford- Bianca Belair
Their relationship is no secret as The Street Profits’ Montez Ford and WWE RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair have been featured together on-screen multiple times outside of the wrestling ring. However, they are yet to be featured together for on-screen programming in WWE.
Belair was very briefly teamed with the Street Profits when she came to Raw in 2020, but have not generally appeared together since. While Belair is likely to stick around on RAW being the women’s champion on the red brand, Ford might be drafted to SmackDown. Given his recent star-making performances, he could finally be given his deserving singles push.
#4 Johnny Gargano – Candice LeRae
Gargano and LeRae had been widely featured together during their time in NXT. However, the same can’t be said about their main roster runs. However, they have been featured together in multiple segments. They were featured together recently when Gargano was involved in a feud with Grayson Waller and LeRae also got involved during NXT Stand and Deliver match. There is a possibility that they might switch brands to freshen up their respective feuds.
#3 Madcap Moss-Emma
Emma’s romantic relationship with WWE Superstar Madcap Moss was revealed on social media. After coming back to the WWE, she was also romantically paired up on-screen with her real-life boyfriend. She has been competing in mixed tag team matches in the WWE with Moss to enjoy some exciting matches. In spite of working as a lower mid-card, it always felt like he would be elevated to at least a mid-card level in the near future.
He has won the Andre The Giant memorial battle royal in the past but his career never escalated as he had expected. He recently lost a bout against the returning Shinsuke Nakamura on SmackDown. A feud with the Japanese star could be on the cards on SmackDown, while Emma, who never had an impactful return might move to RAW.
#2 Scarlett- Karrion Kross
Scarlett has majorly served as the manager of Karrion Kross. Despite being a real-life couple, Karrion Kross and Scarlett were never paired together on-screen prior to their run in WWE. This would change when both debuted in NXT, with Scarlett being the spooky, seductive mind behind the monster, as she would play a major role in Kross getting over and established with NXT fans.
Kross rose to the top of the developmental brand, becoming NXT Champion. When Kross was called up to the main roster in 2021, his gimmick was repackaged, something that has been criticized in the past. He arrived without Scarlett before getting released. However, after Triple H took over, Kross and Scarlett were brought back and ever since paired together. WWE might split them to try out how things could move forward giving Scarlett a chance to work as a wrestler rather than a manager.
#1 Seth Rollins-Becky Lynch
Their romance is not a secret and they have been a power couple. Following WrestleMania 35 and news of their relationship going public, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch were united on-screen. Rollins was the reigning WWE Universal Champion while Lynch was the Raw Women’s Champion. The two became entangled in a feud with Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans, leading to a mixed tag team match at Extreme Rules.
They have portrayed characters that were different from each other but they have been widely featured together in on-screen segments and matches in the past. However, WWE decided to drop the idea of pairing them together. They both are currently working on RAW but that could change during WWE Draft.
