WWE Cruiserweight Championship match set for WrestleMania

The semi-finals of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament wrapped up tonight, with Mustafa Ali facing off against the deranged Drew Gulak.

Both men have been on a tear since the tournament began, with Gulak showing a new aggressive side, while Ali’s determination and grit shone throughout the tournament. The two were often putting on match of the week candidates, and their bout tonight definitely lived up to the hype.

It was brutal, it was intense, and it was full of high flying action. Mustafa Ali and Drew Gulak tore each other apart in the last semi-final match-up in the tournament. After a grueling battle between the cruiserweights, Ali put Gulak away after hitting him with the 054.

With that being said, the official match for WrestleMania is Mustafa Ali vs Cedric Alexander for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

The winner of that final match won’t have to wait around to see who their next challenger is, either, as Maverick set up a Fatal-4-Way match for the #1 Contendership next week, with TJP vs Akira Tozawa vs Kalisto vs Buddy Murphy.
