WWE deciding what to do with Renee Young

Renee Young did her job as a commentator this week on RAW, but she didn’t say a word when Sami Zayn mentioned AEW during his promo.

Jon Moxley and Renee Young are married and while Moxley did state in the past that he did not want to ask for his WWE release since it would cause Renee Young problems, she might be in trouble now.

Brad Shepard reported on Oh, You Didn’t Know that WWE is currently trying to figure out what to do with Renee Young after Moxley’s departure from the company. While it might be bad PR on WWE’s part if they punish Renee Young, it is a possibility.

“So I think it’s very interesting now because it puts Renee in an interesting situation. I am told they are looking at what to do with her as well, but they’re not happy about it.”

“Vince is fuming over Dean Ambrose aka Jon Moxley telling them that he was just going to Hollywood to make a movie, but actually he was leaving to make a movie and sign with AEW

It will be difficult for WWE to publicly do anything to her due to fan backlash. We will keep you updated regarding Renee Young’s status if we learn more.

How dare you critique Harrisons writing style. His defender will tell you off.

But you also have to remember that WWE plays loose and fast with contracts so they do not have employees, they have independant contractors.
Like most people they future endeavour, they won’t give a reason and Renee and her lawyers would have to prove she was let go because of her husbands actions, which would be damn near impossible to prove.

You only have to look at how many people have been fired for no reason to see that employment law has no bearing in this.

That said, I don’t think they will fire or punish her as this is just a load of BS rumours.

  • Jason Conlan

You REALLY need to look up employment law an employer CAN’T punish an employee for something their spouse did and if they did and continued to do so until she left she could sue for constructive dismissal…… All the best a non stupid wrestling fan.

  • Rob ‘Richard Hammond’ Picken

“Stupid wrestling fans” how does that work? They’d just be pointing out a few home truths

  • ted

wrong. renee has a wwe contract just like every other wwe talent. wwe could fire her tomorrow for any reason even that the company hates her guts for being married to an ungrateful traitor.

The only problem is that stupid wrestling fans would raise a stink on how wwe is picking on poor renee.

  • Darrin Tyler

Well itd be illegal for them to fire her on the spot just because of him. That’s all I know.

  • CC

If anyone thinks they are going to punish her, then they are seriously deluding themselves.
Considering the crap they get for going to Saudi and not being able to take women with them, are they really going to punish “The first full time female commentator on WWE TV”?
It would be a PR disaster for WWE in this current climate.

“Jon Moxley and Renee Young are married and while Moxley did state in the
past that he did not want to ask for his WWE release since it would
cause Renee Young problems, she might be in trouble now.” That isn’t a sentence.

  • Soulshroude

This is stupid. Who says Rene Young’s career is in jeopardy just because her hubby is with AEW? This is rumor Mill b.s. at it’s finest.
