WWE deemed as ”essential business”

WWE will be airing their shows live from the Performance Center. Vince McMahon wanted to make sure WWE got paid by FOX and NBC/Universal which pay for live television, so, so they are going this route. Now it seems the company has become ”essential.”

In a press conference, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said that WWE is an “essential business.” Florida governor Rick Desantis said this of the company as well, which got confirmed by Demings.

“I think initially there was — a review that was done and they were not initially deemed an an essential business. With some conversation with the governor’s office regarding the governor’s order, they were deemed an essential business. And so therefore, they were allowed to remain open.”

The company has plans of airing their weekly TV shows every week from the Performance Center. So the Superstars and staff will have to travel to the venue every week or make other arrangements.
