WWE possibly displeased with Becky Lynch’s promo on Smackdown Live

Becky Lynch kicked off Smackdown Live by cutting a promo about Asuka and their upcoming Title match at the Royal Rumble on January 27th. While the crowd was really into what she had to say, others did not feel the same way.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer gave his thoughts on Becky’s promo on this week’s Smackdown Live. He also revealed what other people in WWE thought of it as well.

“I thought that the beginning of the Becky Lynch interview was horrible. I thought she was out there pandering. She was doing everything wrong. It got better.”

Bryan Alvarez added he was relieved that he was not the only one who thought it was horrible. Meltzer then said the following:

“Oh you said that? You’re not alone. I promise you that people in WWE thought the same thing.”

Regardless of what Meltzer and Alvarez think, it is the fans in the end who truly matter, and they are clearly behind Becky Lynch all the way. We will have to wait and see who comes out on top at the Royal Rumble. After all, Becky Lynch’s Wrestlemania plans are still uncertain.
