WWE files trademark for classic WCW event

The WWE has officially filed a trademark for WCW’s former top event, Starrcade.

According to PWInsider, the company made the move on July 17, stating that it was a decision the company made long ago when the Starrcade house show was held in Greensboro, North Carolina last November.

After the success of the Starrcade event and NXT’s WarGames match, the WWE is planning on bringing in more events and matches from WCW’s past. It’s been rumored that Bash at the Beach, Fall Brawl, and Halloween Havoc have been tossed around as possible ideas for PPVs in the future, but nothing has been confirmed thus far.
