WWE Fire Employee After Becky Lynch Botch

Becky Lynch is still one of the most popular female WWE Superstars in recent memory. The Man’s meteoric rise to Superstardom back in 2018 is well documented. It propelled her career to the absolute top, which culminated in her winning both the RAW and Smackdown Women’s Championships at WrestleMania 35, defeating both Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey in the main event of the Show of Shows. She is also engaged to WWE Superstar Seth Rollins and the two welcomed their baby girl Roux in December of last year. Becky Lynch’s WWE SummerSlam return plans were leaked as well.

Becky Lynch made her return at WWE SummerSlam as she went on to defeat Bianca Belair in a squash match and became the new Smackdown Women’s Champion. She also retained her title at WWE Extreme Rules after Sasha Banks returned during the pay-per-view and attacked both her and Bianca Belair. She also defended her title against the two at WWE Crown Jewel.

Becky Lynch successfully defeated Liv Morgan at the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view and retained her RAW Women’s Championship. According to Fightful Select, recently released referee Scott Armstrong took responsibility for the awkward referee spots in the Becky Lynch vs Liv Morgan at the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view.

Scott Armstrong had been working in timing out the shows, and was a referee for years for WWE. He oversaw a lot of the NXT refereeing staff, and shouldered the blame for the direction that led to awkward refree spots during the Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan Day 1 match. We’re told this wasn’t why he was let go, however. At least one promotion has already expressed interest in booking Scott Armstrong as a wrestler, as he’s known to stay in shape and was a good worker in his day. His father wrestled until he was almost 80.
