Lana was one of the highlights of the women’s division in WWE as she was a tag team with Naomi. Liv Morgan is prominent as well, and both played an embarrassing role in recent WWE firings. Several WWE Superstars were released by the company on April 15th as part of the COVID-19 budget cuts. Among the Superstars released included Peyton Royce, Billie Kay, Chelsea Green, Mojo Rawley and others. Afterwards, Lana would subsequently get released by the company in June of this year as well. Vince McMahon’s idea for a Lana affair was also leaked last month.
The former WWE Superstar recently spoke on Chris Jericho’s Talk Is Jericho podcast, where she revealed that she and Naomi were going to be involved in a program with current Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina. However, due to her release, all plans were scrapped.
“Of course I’m devastated,” Lana said. “Of course I was like, ‘Well, damn, could you at least…’ We were promised to go into a program with Nattie and Tamina after the titles, me and Naomi. To go into a program with them, go after the titles, and we were supposed to be possibly champions. All that stuff I take with a grain of salt. I was very lucky that I got booked until the day I got fired.”
