WWE Fire Woman After Bobby Lashley ‘Mistake’

WWE writer Kenice Mobley, who was recently hired by the company seems to have been released. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful recently confirmed the news of the release on Twitter.

 


 

He said:

“WWE writer Kenice Mobley has been let go. She was in the news this week after a podcast appearance where she said she wasn’t familiar with the product.”

Kenice Mobley had recently been outspoken about company’s hiring practices. She also admitted that she did not have much knowledge about the product. WWE To ‘Double’ Firings On Smackdown?

Mobley used to work on creative team of Monday Night RAW and had confessed she was not familiar with the stars on the brand and  had referred WWE Champion Bobby Lashley as ‘Bobby Ashley’ during her appearance on the “Asian Not Asian” podcast.This had led to a heavy criticism from the fans.

She had said:

“They did not require me to know anything about wrestling, but I do have a background in film production and comedy writing, and they’re like, ‘Perfect. Come on in.’ So I am on the Monday Night RAW team. So there’s Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown, and the people I know that are on it are Bobby — his name is either Bobby Ashley or Bobby Lashley, and I really should know that. He’s like this giant black guy, and he and the people who are part of his crew, I know that they call — or at least as of last year, they called themselves The Hurt Business. The Hurt Business. They wear suits, and they’re like, ‘We’re cool.'”

WWE had been receiving major heat from the fans for the decline in the quality of their product and no wonder it might have happened due to similar incidents like this.
