WWE shockingly released several stars today and Aleister Black was one of them. He recently reacted on Twitch about his release and said he is thankful to Vince McMahon, Triple H, Bruce Prichard, Paul Heyman and others in WWE for the opportunities they gave him.

Aleister went on to clarify that any report which claimed Vince wasn’t high on his character were untrue and confirmed that he had pitched the idea of returning to NXT.

It was back in June 2016, that Black had signed with WWE. In the following year, January he made his debut and made a surprise appearance at the United Kingdom Championship Tournament finals, losing to Neville in a non-tournament match.
Aleister Black’s vignettes began to air on NXT from March in that year and made his televised in-ring debut for the gold and black brand at NXT TakeOver: Orlando on 1 April when he defeated Andrade.
He went on to defeat Andrade and captured NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans and he had held the title for 108 days. We will see what is next for Aleister Black.
