WWE Fired Top Name Before SmackDown

WWE recently fired an executive earlier this week and PWInsider reported that Vice President of Talent Relations Operations Kristen Altman was let go on Monday, August 5.

It has been noted that Altman has been with WWE since 2008, beginning as a receptionist at Titan Towers before she received promotion and later becoming the Vice President of Talent Relations Operations in August 2022.

Altman’s Linked In Account listed her responsibilities as the following:

[Managing] WWE’s Talent Wellness Program including organizing and executing medical examinations, drug testing, semi-annual blood work, physical exams, cardio evaluations, ImPACT testing, and Medical Referrals. Work with all newly hired Talent by conducting Background Searches, booking Pre-Contract Medical Screening, assisting with Independent Contractors Agreements, and assisting with the relocation process. Recruit domestically and internationally for potential WWE Superstars and Divas and organize tryout camps and individual tryouts. Book extra talent for WWE TV events and fill very specific Talent needs (demographic, skills, etc) on very short term notice (mainly day of).”

Altman’s role saw her manage WWE’s Talent Wellness Program. She assisted with administration around signing new wrestlers, including background searches, medical, and assisting with relocation. She also helped organize WWE tryouts and book extras for WWE TV.

It has been noted that Altman is just the latest WWE executive to exit the company since the completion of the WWE-UFC merger under TKO in September 2023. A number of departments have since been combined and top names to leave over the past several months include Kevin Dunn, Michael Levin, and Steve Rubin.
