WWE’s 24/7 Title has been subjected to criticism by the likes of Edge and Mick Foley. However, it has proved to add entertainment to the product as well as WWE’s social media.
This week, R-Truth was playing golf when suddenly, Jinder Mahal came up and pinned him to win the title. R-Truth managed to win his title back in a matter of seconds, but this will not be the last time we will be seeing the title change hands like this.
Bryan Alvarez stated on Wrestling Observer Live that owing to WWE’s social media being given the permission to change the WWE 24/7 Title on social media, more plans regarding the title are in the works.
Alvarez said the company has other plans in mind, but won’t spoil them. He said there will be a title change coming that makes a lot of sense and he left it at that.
It will be interesting to see what WWE does with the 24/7 Title.
