WWE recently fired quite a few employees from the company, which started well back in April. Now it seems the company has hired three new executives today and after that, the company revealed three new board members. However, it seems one of the signings is a controversial name and as a result, the company has received a lot of backlash from members of the WWE universe.

According to WrestleNomics, the following people were hired:

WWE announces 3 new executive hires: – EVP of Digital & Development: Jamie Horowitz, – General Counsel & Corporate Secretary: Samira Shah – SVP of International: Matt Drew

The hiring of Horowitz and Drew seem to replace roles vacated after last week’s lay-offs. “Horowitz will also be responsible for WWE Studios in Los Angeles.” Susan Levison (former head of WWE Studios) and James Rosenstock (former EVP of International) left the company last week.

Shah replaces Brian Nurse, who was reported to have left WWE several months ago. Shah comes from Moda Operandi. Her time there overlapped with current WWE CFO Kristina Salen. Horowitz and Drew were both previously EVPs at DAZN.

Horowitz was fired from Fox Sports in 2017 after an investigation of sexual harassment allegations.
