WWE holds dark match in middle of Raw broadcast

Ever since the introduction of 205 Live, holding regular dark matches after SmackDown Live has become a thing as a way to keep the fans glued to their seats till the end of the night.

On the other hand, Raw often does not have a dark match associated with it, and instead, they usually shoot a couple of matches for Main Event every week before the show starts.

However, the company did something interesting this week and held a dark match while the show was still on and Bobby Lashley’s interview was being aired.

The untelevised match saw the recently debuted Authors Of Pain defeating local talents in a quick match, similar to their appearance last week.

No word yet on what the company has in plans for Authors Of Pain in future, but being in a meaningless dark match just weeks after their debut is certainly not a good sign for the duo.

I figured as much – there was NO WAY they were showing that interview live. Isn’t the first time they’ve done it, and it won’t be the last.

AOP is the new Ascension and will be gone in 5 years. I do not see what the big deal is with these guys other than we’ve never seen a move like the Super Collider.

Not really news. I assume they always got dark matches going on on both shows that way the talent doesn’t miss out on work
