WWE to implement tiers to the WWE Network?

It seems that the WWE Network might be going through some changes soon, according to WWE Co-Presidents George Barrios and Michelle Wilson. Specifically, the WWE could be adding a “premium tier” for the network.

WrestlingInc‘s Brandon Howard Thurston broke the news on Monday.

During the WrestleMania 34 conference call, Barrios and Wilson mentioned that, not only was it possible to include premium accounts in the network but that it would be sooner rather than later. WWE has surveyed their fans a handful of times in the past on the topic of priced tiers for the WWE Network.

I pay more to see other wrestling promotions and old ppvs, etc from other promotions so hope WWE does it soon.

It was only a few years ago that they were supposedly doing this, but it got such negative feedback that they seemingly gave up on it.
As soon as they start doing this it will hurt them. It has taken them ages to get past 2mil subs, so why on Earth do they think putting things behind paywalls is a good idea when giving people everything for a set price has not been the success they hoped for? Hell, they even had to set up the “free for first month” business model to try and entice people in.

All they have to do is say that they will grandfather people in and it should bump up the numbers for the content.

I guess WWE didn’t want to keep those subscription numbers over two million. Unless of course WWE wants to team up with Playboy again and put that kind of content on premium. WWE certainly has a large number of very attractive women presently employed.

Seems like it. I think it was rumored before that they were looking to do this with their library as far as different promotions. Maybe they’ll work with ICW and Evolve and put them on there, etc etc. I don’t know what else they’d do, unless they’re just gonna downgrade what everyone’s already paying for, which would be horrible.

That’s dumb. So I’ll have to pay more for certain content?!
