WWE In Trouble After Emergency Car Accident

WWE is set to go to trial at the end of this month to defend against a lawsuit filed by Jackson Parsons. The trial is scheduled to begin on February 27 in Florida Middle District Court, as per court documents obtained by Pwinsider.com.

The lawsuit, which was initially filed in June 2021, alleges that on July 22, 2019, a van rented by WWE, driven by employee Gaitan Thomas while on the job, collided with Parsons while he was riding his bicycle in Tampa. Thomas, a props expert for WWE, was described as an independent contractor engaged by the company in the court filings.

According to the documents, Parsons underwent surgery for an ankle injury resulting from the incident. He claimed to have suffered physical injuries, pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, disfigurement, scarring, and inconvenience, resulting in the inability to lead and enjoy a normal life.

Jackson Parsons has claimed in his lawsuit against WWE that he will be dealing with permanent issues due to the accident and has suffered physical injuries, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, scarring, and mental anguish. He has also asserted that his injuries and suffering are permanent and that he has incurred past medical expenses and will incur future medical expenses due to the accident. Additionally, he has suffered a loss of earnings and earning capacity, both in the past and in the future. Parsons has stated that he had lost the quality of life he was looking for when he moved to Florida, and his past medical expenses stemming from the accident were already $171,430.38. He also cited a loss of past and future earnings at $75,036.00-$100,048.00, and he projected his future medical expenses to be $314,850.00. Parsons is seeking $76,500.00 for pain and suffering, mental anguish, and inconvenience, and $401,500 for future pain and suffering. The trial is set to begin on February 27, 2023, before the Florida Middle District Court.
