The WWE has issued the following statement regarding Jack Swagger’s status with the company after publicly announcing he has asked for his release (courtesy of Wrestling Inc.):
“Jack Swagger has not been granted a release from his WWE contract. When he is granted his release, Jack Swagger will remain under exclusive contract to WWE for 90 days and will be compensated accordingly during that period.”
This should prove to be interesting as Swagger is currently booked to appear at a non-WWE event, as WAW in the UK (promotion owned by Paige’s father) took to Twitter to announce he will be on their Norwich show next weekend:
