WWE keeps on cancelling live events

WWE has trouble bringing fans to buildings, particularity on a Monday. With the implementation of the new Wild Card Rule, it is also difficult to make Monday house shows work because the top Smackdown Live stars are needed for Raw.

WWE has cancelled this week’s WWE house show and also next week’s is off as well. This has become quite common ever since the Wild Card Rule was introduced.

The American Airlines Arena in Corpus Christi, Texas sent out a mass email late on Tuesday night to inform fans that the upcoming events at the Arena are cancelled and no new date was provided.

“The WWE: SmackDown live event scheduled for Monday June 3rd at American Bank Center Arena in Corpus Christi, TX has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict. All fans who purchased tickets for the Corpus Christi, TX live event should go to their point of purchase for refunds.”

It is likely that WWE will cancel all future live events until the Fox deal starts. We will get to know what happens in due time.
