Former ECW original and WWE star Tommy Dreamer was indefinitely suspended from Impact Wrestling due to his controversial comments that he made in regards toward WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair’s allegations of sexual assault. Dreamer made the ill-fated remarks during this past week’s edition of VICE’s Dark Side of the Ring show which focused on the infamous ‘Plane Ride From Hell’.’ Dreamer downplayed the alligations issued toward Flair as ‘harmless horseplay’, which was rightfully panned and led to his ultimate suspension. Ric Flair ‘confronted’ this homosexual WWE star.
Now, Dreamer has come out with a statement apologizing toward his insensitive remarks. Dreamer stated the following social media via his personal Facebook account. It should be noted that as of now, Ric Flair has yet to address the allegations that were issued toward him on the ‘Dark Side of the Ring’ show. Dreamer’s statement reads as follows.
“Regarding my comments made on Dark Side of the Ring. It was never my intention to offend, hurt or victim shame anyone. I understand my comments were insensitive and could trigger emotions in someone’s own personal past.I do not condone sexual misconduct of any kind. apologize to anyone I offended. From the bottom of my heart. I am so sorry”
