WWE Losing Two Champions To AEW?

The WWE Women’s Tag-Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi recently grabbed the headlines when they took a huge step during last night’s WWE RAW. There have been various sides to the story already reported, including that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions confronted WWE Chairman Vince McMahon over their issue. WWE left that part out of their official narrative, but Banks and Naomi did have words with the boss. In the official statement from the company, it was noted that Sasha Banks and Naomi dropped their tag titles on the desk of John Laurinaitis and left the building. It turns out that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi reportedly won’t be fired.

Reason why Sasha Banks and Naomi will not be fired

Despite walking out of their place of work, Dave Meltzer reported on the recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio why the two superstars are yet to be fired:

“If it was another time and another place, it’s very possible that they would have been fired, but it’s this time and this place. I remember when the Charlotte Flair thing happened with Becky Lynch and I was talking to people there and it was kind of, like, if it was another time and another place, yeah, they would have fired Charlotte Flair for what she did on live TV screwing up the angle on purpose. But it’s, like, do you want to send her to AEW? No. And essentially nothing happened and they don’t want to send either of them to AEW. Then you’ve got the whole Naomi married to Jimmy Uso…It’s just a waiting game to see what happens next.”

Naomi and Sasha Banks were scheduled to be a part of a six-pack challenge on the May 16 episode of Raw. The match was to feature Naomi, Sasha, Asuka, Becky Lynch, Nikki A.S.H., and Doudrop. The winner was to get a shot at Bianca Belair‘s Raw Women’s Championship. The main event was altered as Asuka defeated Lynch in a singles match. We will see what is next for ‘Boss n Glow’ moving forward.
