UPDATE: CM Punk has been photographed in a wrestling ring today.
CM Punk has not been seen inside a WWE ring since he walked out on the company after the 2014 edition of The Royal Rumble.
He was an occasional guest on FOX’s WWE Backstage show, where he gave his views on the current WWE product. The show was ultimately cancelled for a while but it made its return this past Saturday, prior to the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
WWE On Fox’s Twitter’s account uploaded a video of Renee Paquette on the show, where the caption was CM Punk’s signature catchphrase ”It’s clobbering time” and also tagged CM Punk in the same.
A fan recently took to Twitter and mentioned something interesting. The fan said that he was watching WWE Backstage and during the show, Paige revealed that they cannot have Christian and CM Punk on WWE Backstage anymore. To this, Renee Paquette replied, “it’s the new Backstage, making that FOX money”.
The fan then asked whether this meant CM Punk will be making a return on tonight’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
